Aylesbury Vale Withdraw Local Plan

No Surprises from webiste

Following hearing sessions in December 2013, an independent planning inspector has suggested that we withdraw the Vale of Aylesbury Plan Strategy. The inspector raised a number of concerns including the level of housing and jobs planned and whether we have worked closely enough with neighbouring authorities.

More information is available in the Planning Inspector’s letter.

Following the resolution at a meeting of Council on 5 February 2014, the Council has withdrawn the Vale of Aylesbury Plan pursuant to section 22(1) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (effective from 5 February 2014). Please follow this link to the report to Council (App B), along with the formal statement of withdrawal.
